So I've decided this is to be my final post on Love/Hate until or unless the owner, Wrenja returns. (It's been over a year, I'm so faithful. x: ) Thank you to anyone out there still watching for updates.
I'm going to be continuing the freebie thing over on my own blog, realistically at about the same rate (one post a month, go me!) but optimistically a little bit more (let's make it two!). I'll be throwing in some fashion posts, observational rants and questions and some other stuff. Possibly. Many thanks if you wish to follow me in my Second Life over at Trickett Blogs Stuff.

On to the good stuff...
Priss is a store I've been watching lately. The clothing is earthly-hippy-bohemian, sometimes comfortable and modest, sometimes elegant and vintage and all impeccably made. As far as I can tell, all the textures are unique to Priss.
The stock is spread out in stores across the grid including the main store at Taejin and satellite stores at Warrumbungles and Cupcake. You can find all the stores in Erin Winterwolf, the designer's picks, for future reference. :3

This is the prize for The Millenium Hunt, which ends on the 31st and is hosted by the For The Love Of... (or FTLO for short) hunt collective.
This hunt is different to most hunts in Second Life. In each participating store, one of the vendors has been repriced to 1L. Your task is to mouse-over the vendors and find the 1L thing. :3 This means for the awesome price of 1L, you can get the original item being sold and the bonus hunt prize. :D

(Er, The Rumor is going through some renovations so some of the picture links are broken but it does list all the stores and if you see stores in there you like, you should definitely drop them a visit. x: )

I was browsing the forums a few weeks ago and I came across a post asking for free faun stuff. One of the comments helpfully provided a SLURL to the store In The Fur Enterprises.
There is a male and female version for 1L each. The box contains hooves (in leg and hoof pieces), horns, a tail, a skin and shape and prim eyes. The legs are mod/copy but the horns and skin are no copy/no mod.
The skin wasn't especially flattering on me so I've opted for another sin in my inventory and a pair of tinted white socks, however it does include the original fur for the legs, which goes up to the hips.
The hooves have invisi-prims but you can remove these by rezzing them, going to edit mode, selecting "edit linked", going to the build menu at the top and selecting "unlink" and deleting the invisi-prim. Then deselect "edit linked" and pick the leg/hoof back up. :3 You will need to provide your own alpha layers, I advise checking in folders of boots you may already own. I did have to shrink these legs (actually it might have been just the hoof part) to fit me but I do like the shape a lot. The hooves themselves have rather long dewclaws suggesting, to me, these would be well suited to deer, as I think goats tend to have more subtle, stubby dewclaws.
I also really like the horns, they're an attractive shape and the texturing is quite beautiful. :3
The dress in this picture comes from Priss too but is set to full price of 160L. An alpha layer is provided for the Priss dresses to help combat the avatar mesh moving outside of the prims however if you have an AO that moves quite a bit, you may experience some ghost legs. x: I found the prims fitted me very well and didn't need to be resized although an avatar with a larger stomach may have problems and need to mod. This outfit came full modify for me although some others (such as the dress) may have resizer scripts.

And on a final note, I recently joined the Second Life Roller Derby Association and have been helping out as PR Assistant. :3 The Second Life Roller Derby Association (or SLRDA) is SL's first roller derby league and we aim to replicate the fun and community of roller derby within Second Life. :3

Currently we are in between seasons and in between HQs so I'd advise anyone wanting to sign-up to join the in-world group and sit tight for a few more days. :3 In the meantime, we have a Facebook and a Tumblr you can follow and more excitingly, we have a mash up bout tonight and you're welcome to come watch the punks battle the disco divas! 6PM SLT at Mad Hell Razor rink. :3

Tricketts or Giraffes?

I'm not really that into Christmas. x: Everyone on the grid is suddenly a seasonal deer so I suddenly feel protective of my "individualtiy" and all the shops are full of snow and baubles and trees and extra things my computer is not too fond of. x: So I'm going to hide out here and dress up as a giraffe. :3

It's kind of hard to resize but it's cute. :D You can pick it up from !Go!'s lucky chairs which change letter every three mintues.

I meant to do some quick hunt previews of hunts finishing on the 15th but my friends called on Skype and my photography settings weren't happy. Sorry blog, friends first but maybe I can get them done tomorrow? x:
If you're looknig for antlers I always suggest Illusions. :3 She also puts out special edition ones for Christmas. You can also try Rue (who has a pack out for 55L Mondays) or Down Down Down. For more tig-like antlers, you can try Needful Things or Sweet Leonard or Epic.
For legs / full avatars, mine are from Titania's Court. Other stores you can try are Epic, Visavi and Atomic.
Or you can combine the two in one avatar and buy Dodie's Deer avatar. :3 I have this avatar in pink, the textures and sculpts are very unique among faun although the fitting is a little tricky.

The Flesh Game

Today I learnt to take all the photos in one sitting. Or at least try harder to do so. x: Small camera angle discrepincies aside, here are a few prizes from The Flesh Game, the interactive game running on the Sn@tch and Pulse sims until November the 14th. (Post is not on last day, be amazed. o: )

The Flesh Game is not a hunt. Having said that you will have to hunt for the prizes. x: When you land, you will be prompted to buy the HUD which will help you navigate the game and gives you a horror-based story to follow.

Hover over everything. Buy anything with the Linden dollar cursor and touch everything that brings up a hand cursor. If you see any numbers, take notice of them because they will help you break the codes to the next room.
You'll need to set aside a decent amount of time to complete The Flesh Game. As the slowest avatar on the grid, I have no idea how long it took me but I did have to nap before I could finish it. x: Should probably take the advice of friends and take an interest in that super food known as coffee.

Most of the prizes are hidden in small, repeated objects such as notepads and coffee books. Theres several more outfits and goods out there. Some of which I didn't photograph, some of which I didn't find. x:
As a note on the prizes: the Sn@tch boots have colour changing laces and socks as well as a no sock option. The Gauze boots also have colour change laces. Yay. :D The Forsaken cowboy boots only come in 'complete' form so you'll need to mod them if you want them under your jean cuffs.

The Funky Junk sykbox and furniture is sperated into four boxes. I was going to take all the pictures in the skybox... But then I took a nap and changed my mind. x: Naps: they solve all my problems, except when they generate problems such as crashing my viewer. x: I think I'm officailly polyphasic this week.
I don't really remember where most of the prizes were located now but if you have missed a specific prize and are desperate to know it's location, drop a note before the 14th and I'll try to help out.

I did have a post pre-written in Word but my computer went crazy and ate it. x:
I really wanted to blog the Dura/Lantern Evoultion hunt but I don't think I have time. x: Basically grab all your mens and go find the pumpkins. It's a pretty easy hunt but as a hint: remember to check outside too.
This post is a lot of words and not enough pictures. :/

This is a quick revisit to Petrichor, who I blogged last month. I thought I'd change up the face because this one is pretty and it suits these skins better than Tricketts do. I think there are other hunt skins available but I forgot to check in before I went into photo-mode. x:
The eyes on the top line are from the R1C3 lucky board. They're shiney-pretty and they're actually melons. (x
The grey eyes are from Chuus. Once again, another store I blogged. Originally T&P they have rebranded to Chuus. The creator is very generous with her subscriber and there is a lucky board in store.
For some reason these gifts are lacking teeth and tongues. x: If I get the time/courage I'll drop the creator a NC incase she messed up a base because all her other skins have been fine. It's not something you will notice unless you use emotion HUDs or animate when voice chatting. x:

And finally, incase you were unaware, somehow...
All the hair in this and the last two posts is from Elikatira. Today is the last day for the 70% off sale. I love Elikatira not just because of her beautiful sculpts but also because she offers an essentials pack containging one or two tones of all the "natural" colours. You can buy this pack for 75L. I think the regular packs and shoes are 55L and fatpacks are 360L. I'm somewhat terrified she's going to relrelease everything in mesh but I bought a lot anyway. x:
If you're going to do this last minute my advise would be:
1. Buy demos from X-Street. (Although that has taken over an hour to deliver to me previusly.) Try on and select favourite ones.
2. Down-prim. Take off all the prims you can. No jewellery, clothing attachments, I even think this may call for shoes-ditching. Wear your shortest hair with as few flexis/alphas as possible or even just a tattoo base.
3. Turn on minimap.
4. Teleport and MOVE AWAY FROM THE LANDING ZONE. Doesn't matter which direction, just go. o: The minimap will help you manouver through the people. :3
5. If you end up outside the windows like a pretty little creep and can't rez the vendors (that's what I did :D), there are pose stands you can use to teleport into the store.
6. I recommend Ctrl+Alt+Shift+4. x: It hides all the avatars so the game won't try to load those. You can't however walk using it so toggle it again to move. x: Type it again to reactivate avatars. (If it doesn't do anything, make sure you have advanced/develop menus open first by pressing Ctrl+Shift+D.)
7. Buy hair and run. o:

Next week is "attampt something productive with a photoshopping programme" month, so you don't have to spend weeks camping for Lindens and can be some sort of creative asset to Second Life and not a mooch. x:

The Return of CStar (also featuring Rue)

CStar Limited is another skin store that has reopened this month after closing earlier this year for redesign.
Both the skin and dress in this post are lucky chairs/boards and I think they will be removed / switched over in the next couple of days so apologies for being so late on this one. x:

CStar operates a unique system. As well as having a permanent line of skins available, they offer limtied quanities of new make-ups.
The latest skins are very different to the last line. I think the shading and the tones are very different and I assume the bases are new but I'm not a skin expert. x: I think this has made the skins a little less recognisable but a lot more universal. I'd never been able to get these skins to work too well with my shape but the newest releases is very flattering on it. :3
The dress is from the lucky board at Hello World. It comes with a big witche's hat but I have replaced it with another set of Rue's Hallowe'en hunt horns. :3

I've only managed to grab pale, natural and bronzed so far. x: This is pale and bronzed. All the skins in this chair are transfer as are the limited editions so you can gift and trade them if you have duplicates. :3 If you don't manage to win these skins but are really itnerested in them, I think they'll be available for purchase in November.
My personal method of lucky chairs is to hop between them, either alternating the chairs or just popping in while I'm TPing somewhere else. I guess they're like people, they don't like being stared at. x: If you're on a V2 version of Second Life, you will have a favourties folder. Drop the lucky chairs you want to visit into that folder and the stores will show on an additional tool bar at the top to make hopping between them easier. :3

Another post or two later but for now I need to get ready to have my blood taken, no vampires required. I think I'd prefer the vampires though. ):

I've got a few posts for today. I've decided to split them up because I think it makes things easier to read. Unfortunately they're all pretty much ending tomorrow. x:
I'm expecting my image sizes to be all over the place, I knocked the camera a few times. x:

First off: Frick has reopened. :D This was a store I blogged a long time ago. I wore Frick almost exclusively around then. I've worn a few other brands and randoms since but I always like how my avatar looks in those skins and prefer them for some of my signature looks.

These skins and the outfit are from the reopening-Hallowe'en hunt. There are seven pumpkins containing two styles of dress and five skins (in freckled and non-freckled) priced at 1L each. If you're looking for last minute creepy skins and tattoos, Frick has several. :3
Rue is also another store I blogged way back who has also recently re-opened. She is currently part of the hunt on the Ctrl Shift H sim and is offering numerous horns in this colour. She also has exclusive Hallowe'en colour packs for all her horns at her mainstore for 75L each.
The horns are mod, which is why I'm missing the alpha layers on my hair in the second picture. x:

This was a quick shot to show you the set of freebie skins she has out too. I think the cocoa tone could probably benefit from recolouring however. x: I think the tone is a little too orange and the shading is a little bit green looking.

As I don't know where the rest of the team are (well, actually Narita is loving life without the computer and seems to be doing awesome, according to her Plurk, yay (: ), I'm going to start dual posting with my personal (and not actually used) blog Trickett Blogs Stuff. I intend to have free posts, regular fashion posts and more social and personal based posts on it but we'll see how it goes, it may just be dual posts at this rate. x:
On to actual post... I thought this would only take me an hour or two, turns out it took me all day. I don't know, something about finding the correct poses, the right hair and falling asleep twice in the process. x: Actual post is incredibly long because I'm walking you through everything and giving you useful info. |:

I also had to redo this picture because I left Bubble out of the box. x: I made a switch from my regular Illusions ears to a free pair of guaged and pierced ones from Bubble available on the Fallen and Depraved hunt. I guess that's why you don't try and list all the stores on the picture. x:
The nails shift through a rainbow of neon colours and are an anniversary gift from Ni.Ju, available at the store for a couple of weeks. Congrats on one year to them and I'm pleased she stuck through it because she's coming out with some really nice stuff. :3
The outfit is from Roawenwood and is part of a mini-hunt Roawenwood is holding in addition to the Twisted hunt. The Twisted hunt finishes on the 30th, I'm unlikely to be blogging much else from it because I'm spending a rediculous amount of time sleeping and scrounging money to buy as much as I can from Collabor88. Yay Bletaverse. x: I also think SL Freebie Hunters already did a great job. I love this blog, it's a defintie time saver. x: And remember, all boxes ar within 30m of the landing point.

I wanted to base this post around a couple of stores I've seen in hunts this year. Namely Petrichor and Repulse. If you're regularly doing hunts you're probably already familar with them. x:
Petrichor is a skin and shape store. It doesn't have a large selection but they have been very generous with their hunts offering up whole avatars in some cases, which they later set up for sale. They have a small range of colourful and animal-based skins currently available. This skin is also from the Twisted Hunt and also comes with the purple mask on a tattoo layer. :3
Repulse is anotehr incredibly generous store specialising in really unique, alternate and gorey eyes. It also has a large selection of wounds and scars and things that just generally ooze and bleed. x: The eyes in this picture are from the Fallen and Depraved Hunt too. This is a hunt I defintiely intend to do next month, I think.

You can slightly see the guages on the ears here. x: My original Illusions ears are purely texture change where these ears are purely tinted. They work with a very useful HUD. I think managed to match them up a lot better than some of my previous posts but I also like the ability to add a base texture so the ears don't get washed out.
The skins are from the Stalker Trailer Trash and The Macabre Hunt (TMH). I especially love the clown one. x: The eyes are from the Twisted Hunt and again, The Macabre Hunt. I'm going to watch out for this hunt, too, I think. I haven't really been itnerested in doing it the past couple of hunts but these prizes make me think I might this time.

These skins are a lot more universal. The green make-up skin is from The Unknown Hunt (TUH) and therefore costs 1L. It comes in all tones though. :3 The confetti make-up is from the American Bazaar Birthday Hunt. I'm pretty determined to do this hunt but it does end on the 30th. x:
The eyes in these pictures are instead from XYR. They have several freebies on the marketplace. I managed to find their in world store, they sell low price skins and eyes at 5L although I think some of them might be included in the packs.
Also, blonde Trickett. o: I bought this hair, I shall use this hair. |: It doesn't get used for everyday wear because I don't have blonde hooves yet. I find mismatching hair/outfit/fur colours odd. <.<

Last Night For Horror Night

So some time in April my cache corrupted itself and I haven't been able to operate my usual photographic settings because it no longer saves preferences when you log out. x: I think you can achieve this bug by switching between viewers. You can fix it by uninstalling and doing a clean reinstall but I procrastinate so it took me a few months. :3
I think I'm finally over my MMO episode sort-of-somewhat so I should be around a lot more and hopefully posting a lot more. x: I don't know when or if anyone else is coming back, I'm going to wait around for a bit and see what happens. x:

Anyway, in news more useful to you. Today is the last day for the Horror Night sim and sale event. :3 If I have managed to write "Hoor Night" during this post, apologies, it appears to be an unfortunate typo I have developed. x:
Horror Night is a sort of Japanese school murder mystery. You teleport in, grab a HUD and look around the old, abandoned school for scraps of paper. When you pick up all the scraps, they are added to the HUD and when you have all the scraps you find the shrine and click on it.

The prizes are this cute uni-sex (yay, no boob shading x:) watermelon T-shirt and a rather awesome little bracelt. I thought the bracelet was just plain brown beads but if you click it, you get skulls. o:

The build is very nicely done. The scraps are easy to find, they are on the walls and floors (don't forget to check the pool) and there are poseballs you can interact with to create some scarey scenes. :3 It would make more sense to take photos there but studio conditions make lag easier to control. x:
If you enjoyed this sim you'll also enjoy the Bakumatsu Obakeyashiki build. :3 I think they are a related project.

While you're hunting the hallways, hiding in rooms and avoiding the ghosts you'll notice a few vendors out. I bought the Dimbula Rose (this URL takes you straight to the stall) skin because I thought it was cute and creepy and I think it's limtied edition and limited edition makes me panicky. x: It's also very nicely priced at 77L. :3

The skin also comes with matching eyes, which you can pick up beside the demo vendor for 1L. :3

Yeah.

Hey :x

So here I am. I've been gone for a fair bit and I'm sure those that loathe me hoped the worst, though they will forever be disappointed. I am currently very busy, but in the past few days have been missing the blog. It's hard for me to be present right now, because I'm waking up every morning at 5:45 am, and not home until 6 pm, and in bed by 10 pm at the latest. Not much time for blogging. I also messed up my ankle something fierce and contracted the Mongolian death virus that's been sweeping the PNW. Exciting times. Anyway, I'm sure this isn't new, but when I saw it I instantly fell in love, and want to wear it every day forever.

The outfit is from Osakki, and is beautiful. It comes in like six colors, and the sculpt work is ridiculousawesome. Of course I had to get the black. Don't judge me. It retails for 300L which is totally reasonable. Mmmm Military. Gimmie more.

I've paired it with my favorite J's boots, my favorite Lamb hair, and my favorite Tres Blah skin (which isn't available anymore). Also the darker cross legging are unavailable, but, that's a small detail really. What's more important, is how amazing this outfit makes my ass look. Lookit that crisp line. Perfection.

A Post Without Antlers

Do you ever write stuff in your head and then when you come to sit in front of the comptuer, it all dissapears? That happens to me just about everytime I sit down to type something... x: I'm going to try to reassemble whatever I had written in my brain for you...
I'm still very into the game I joined last year so I haven't been in SL much. x: But I managed to catch a post on the Japanese blog Misty Night featuring some cosplay outfits in the lucky board at Luna Sabia and thought I'd reblog a couple here.

This outfit comes with a sword, although I couldn't figure out how to make it visable. x: It also comes with a chest plate, that I left out.
I think some of the textures depend on the intricacy of the prims a bit too much but I do like the prim work in most cases. I think a lot of the pieces can be used uniquley. :3

The outfits are very prim-y so wanting to avoid the fun of readjusting prims, I modded the shapes provided by the creator. x: (I'm a shape freak and they needed thicker/longer arms, bigger hands and thicker legs on the maid shape, in my opinon. I also messed with the chests but I left the faces alone. :3)
As it wasn't my traditional shape I figured I'd mix things up a bit and use the ears from the Illusions lucky chair, which have been around for some time now but it's Easter so it's a good time to add rabbit ears to the feeds. :3
There's a whole lot of other outfits available in the lucky boards in cluding more casual outfits. :3

I forgot to use windlight in these photos and for some reason high resolution snapshots aren't working and won't let me adjust the resolution but it's O.K, it's not the end of the world. :D But I do need to figure out how to fix that because it did that last time too. >.> Maybe I need to give in and figure out how to change a graphics card? x:

So... Happy New Year? I don't know where everybody's gone. x: I suspect they're being normal and having in depth and useful first lives. :3
We're lucky I didn't find anything rabbit themed or there might have been a lot of Watership Down references in this post. (Find me an Inle mask? ): )
But I did find some very pretty group gifts. :3 They come with a dull story, the gist of which is that I saved a notecard a very long time ago to a store I thought looked very pretty but might skip off the radar and someone on my timeline asked if anyone had a landmark to that store recently so, I decided to investigate. It makes my estimated 20k+ notecards worth it. :3

The umbrella and skirt/top set are all group gifts at the lovely Salt. I love the skirt sculpt especially. :3 The store has very small selection but this reopening gives me hope that the creator is working on new stock. :3

My photos appear to be somewhat back on track, I think I had my hardware settings too high, I noticed my last ones were pretty grainy. This ones just kind of grainy. :D I wish I kept track of which settings I was using for some of my old ones... I still like my paint boxes. >.> Must be more consistant...

I come back from my break to this. THIS. It's not fair. Other than an overwhelming urge to end it all in the face of this news, I have to say I am enjoying the sale. Everything in the store is 50L or less. I can smile just a little bit through my tears as I fill the holes in my collection. I'm not sure I can take another store from my noobdom closing, first ~Momo~, now Canimal. I just can't do it anymore. Canimal was the first store I fell in love with. I will still stand by my claim that this shop has the BEST flippy prim skirts you can get. And my Punk Rock plaid skirts will NEVER leave my inventory. Ever.

From casual, to punk, to goth, to naughty, there is so much to love and so much that we as a community are losing with this shop closing.

And has to unhappily rescale her pictures which she spent a surprisingly long time measuring out the pixels on but is too lazy to redo them all. (This is why I like Paint, I can count the pixels. This is also, partially, why it takes forever.)

Anyway. A couple of weeks ago, before my computer died from dust overload, I decided to download Viewer 2 because I wanted to utilise the tattoo layers and because every other viewer that uses them hates me. I am taking the ability to rez things over the rubbish interface. Since then I've been looking out for tattoo layer freebies across the grid. :3
Also: free hair. :D

If you're sick of all the antlers and hooves on the grid you can adopt a seal-like disposition with this seal tattoo, a hunt prize from T&P. :3 There's a lack of interesting head gear and feasible tails for seal-people though. x: It was a store I found browsing through some Flickr pictures. It sells a lot of big shiny eyes. :3 There's a couple of clown make-ups out for 5L but officially-broke Trickett decided she may come back for those another day.

Elegant Epiffany was a store I found a last month. I think it was through a blog but unfortunately I don't remember which. x.x Since then the owner has very kindly gifted a lot of skins she's been working on and several make-up packs to her group as well as regularly changing her midnight mania (group only) board. These were a couple of the latest ones. The top ones are part of a pack available in the archive for a few more days and the bottoms ones are Christmas freebies available to everyone. There's also a Christmas themed lucky chair. :3

The back of the tattoo reads "...don't club me" but it was difficult to get a pose showing both the make-ups and the back without looking like my mother was part-seal, part-owl. Slight-fail blogger moment. You could club me for it but I will be using my antlers in self-defense. :3

What I love even more is the daring and fun designs she's released as she's grown as a creator. The gift that she has out for her 3rd anniversary is definitely no exception. Check that tail out. I had so much stuff left over from Jewelry fair that I didn't get to and I felt terrible about, including these gorgeous pieces from Bliensen + Maitai. I remember the first necklace I got from the shop, like over two years ago, as a dollarbie. I wore it SO MUCH, and have since always kept an eye on the jewelry there. Probably my favorite of the releases for jewelry fair was the Rustique set, a generous and affordable collection of edgy and fun jewelry. The set comes with bracelets and a collar, and in leather and metal. I love the rough hewn edges and the leather lacing.

If you're looking for something a little more romantic, you definitely need this necklace. La Belle et La Bete is one of the most beautifully sculpted pieces I've seen recently, and besides the beautiful craftsmanship, and textures, this necklace is scripted for color change. Hey! I kinda ran away for a little bit, I'd been sick, and had a lot going on for a few days there so I just needed a little time to myself, but I'm back, and I have an insane backlog of pretties to show you. We'll start today with the last two releases from ~*The Black Canary*~. When Morrigan dropped his last set on me, I about died from how perfect it was. I have no problem saying it is among the top he's designed. This is Sovereign Rose, and it COMES with that gorgeous crown and scepter. Eyepatch does not, though, that's just something else I had kicking around in my inventory.

Morrigan has been on a tear recently with making more period regal pieces lately. 'Providence' is another recent release that is lovely and sets a standard among ~*The Black Canary*~ pieces. It comes with two sleeve options and looks beautiful in a severe, restricted way, which is really the distinct opposite of Sovereign Rose. I look like I could be a villain in a Disney movie. Kind of awesome.

Taking a more full look at Sovereign Rose lets you see just how detailed and beautiful it is. I put it in and left it on... for a couple of days at least. Along with that new Elika hair, that literally everyone on the grid now has. But it worked, and these are sets definitely worth your consideration. The releases from ~*The Black Canary*~ are getting better and better, and I can't wait to see what's next.

I remember finding Lou Lou & Co. for the first time a very long time ago, right when the store was first opening. Accessories, cute accessories, I liked the accessories, but I'm so fickle about these things that I was never able to commit to buying anything. Well, in the past month, the proprietress, Lolly Carlberg, has left me reeling. Why's that? She's making clothing now, and I can't ignore it. It started with a top release during Rockin' Friday about a month ago. There was a corset style top available in a variety of styles in black and red. I got the promo piece without even thinking about it.

I didn't think much of it at the time but at the next Rockin' Friday showing, she had out an amazing dress, and again, I bought it without questioning. Then I started to think about it. It's one thing to buy the cheapy day sale pieces, but this is different. Oh yes I bought it. Without thinking about it. Look at that, like I could say no. It's like that outfit was made specifically for me. It should be called 'Wrenja' really.

Shades of Awesomeness

It's been a while since my last post, so hi again!!! Today I decided to go for a non-Goth look because, after all, I have some non goth clothing in my inventory, and they are so adorable I can't help but slapping them on every now and then.
Here you have a picture with little closeups on what I have on... man that cloth on the ground was so very comfortable on that lovely sim =D

The lovely lovely boots are the Hai boots by Miel, in Red. The amount of detail in them, a usual deal when it comes to Miel, is just outstanding. I never miss a chance to wear those boots.
The Cute hair is Lovage, by Lamb, and I got it during this 50L Friday. A great deal if you ask me. What I love about Lamb's hair is the textures on them, and the feeling of movement you get from every style, they all look so natural too.
As far as the clothes go, I'm wearing a knitted top by MNK*SHOP, and jeans from [AvB], both very cute basic pieces of clothing that can be combined with numerous accessories to create different styles. Versatility is always a plus when it comes to clothing if you ask me.

I'm also wearing black glasses by Cobrahive, one of my favorite accessories shop, and they go so well with the scarf and mittens from Reek... those are a must if you need to amplify your cuteness ---> mittens = massive adorable-ness

Last but not least, my very favorite: The skin... anyone that knows me knows I'm a skin junkie, specially when it comes to hand drawn skins u.u gosh!!! This one is by Rosy Mood, and it's absolutely amazing!! It's from the Mayu line and the makeup is called Bisque/Rock.

Today is a pretty important day, an effort is being made to help bring awareness to the rash of GLBT suicides that have been plaguing the nation recently. Today, all across the grid, and the country, people will be wearing purple to help shine a light on a problem that hasn't been getting as much attention as it should. I know this is something that hits home for a lot of us especially those of us in the fashion community. I'd be devastated if my best friend, who happens to be gay, were to commit suicide. I'm fortunate in the fact that he is probably one of the feistiest I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and I'd be totally lost without him. But regardless, today we wear purple to show solidarity with our friends and family in the GLBT community, and let them know that they don't have to suffer in silence.

Now that Jewelry Fair is over and a fair amount of other stuff is taken care of I can get back to showing off the gorgeous new skins from De La Soul. When I saw it I knew exactly how I wanted to present it, and then League put out their 50L Friday native dress a few days later, and that sealed the deal. And yes, for those of you who picked up on it, the post title is me ripping on ANTM from a few weeks ago.

Primalot is a store that gets overlooked more often than it really should. I'm totally guilty of it myself, but I'm in the process of correcting said matter. I first started to notice this when I was clearing out my inventory for Jewelry Fair and found an amazing seahorse earring from the shop. Their creations are exciting, interesting and indisputably well made and deserve a lot more attention than they actually get. This point was proven to me once again at Jewelry fair 2010, which you should really find some time for since it ENDS TODAY.

Primalot 'Kroaork' set - 500L

Let me introduce you to 'Kroaork'. This is one of the amazing sets available from Primalot at Jewelry Fair. It's edgy, unique, and gorgeous. It's editorial, it's fetish, it's utterly fantastic and I couldn't not possess this set. On top of being great, the set is compeltely color change, from the leather, to the metal edgings and the stones embedded in the set. There are plenty of colors to choose from as well so you can get this to fit with just about anything you might want to wear.

I love creators who aren't afraid to make something so different and challenging, and Primalot has proven they are totally up to the task. I know I'll be following them a lot closer than I had been previously, because they've definitely got the chops and I'm positive they'll only continue to impress and delight me. Still need another reason to consider this set? 50% of the profit is going to Oxfam, so you're doing a good thing while treating yourself. Another reason not to dally is that they are currently in the process of remodeling their shop, so today really is the LAST DAY to get this gorgeous set until they reopen at least.

We're quickly nearing the end of Jewelery fair 2010, and I pity if you weren't able to kiss a certain male vampire for charity the other night. Totally worth every penny ;D. Regardless there is SO much to see, so many exclusives to grab, and pretties to drool over. Rozoregalia being top among them. I first learned about this shop on Fabulous Fashion about a year ago, and have been hooked since I bought the Vinca necklace.

Everything I'm showing is part of the RosenKavalier line for the most part, a frilly, romantic line of jewelry perfectly suited for the romantic goth or frilly lolita. The first time I saw this series I whimpered because I knew how badly I needed it and, if you don't already own it, I'm positive you're making that exact same whimper right now.

There are two styles available, for both men and for women, with all kinds of ring options, no ring options and just amazingly well made nails that make it clear you are not to be fucked with.

On the grid you'll find a variety of stores running the gamut in terms of style and price. One of the most extreme in both categories is the store Violator. A store filled to the brim with conceptual and avant garde clothing, hair, and jewelry is also one of the most notoriously expensive. Each piece is a work of art though, and worth your consideration, if only in appreciation. Luckily, their jewelry tends to fall in a more reasonable price bracket. And you can find them at this year's Jewelry Fair 2010!

Violator 'My Fetish' (black) - 1200L

Each piece is striking, dramatic, and commands your attention. There is something dangerous and exciting about the pieces most other stores just can't attain in their work. This store was definitely among my favorites showing at the fair, but if you know anything about me, it really shouldn't be all that surprising.

Violator - 'The Punk, The Ruff, and The Beast' (Black) - 1500L

You're going to see a lot of pearls, diamonds and traditionally pretty jewelry at Jewelry Fair as to be expected. A lot of it is gorgeous but few things stand up to the intimidating beauty that Violator brings to the table. The distinct vision that is brought to every piece is expertly wrought and worth giving a chance. Many stores attempt what Violator does with ease and fail. Better to pay a little more and get the original, knowing you're acquiring a quality product.

Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to the new line for skins from De La Soul, well known for their anthro skins. She's released her very first line of human skins. Female, with male skins to come. Today I'm showing you 'Classic', which I adore, the subtle lips with the dynamite eyeshadow. These skin sets come with three different options, normal, blush and freckles, as well as a shape in different heights and options if you so choose. I have a couple of different skins I'll be showing from De La Soul over the next few days, and in the end show a full review of everything after really getting down and playing with them. So far I love them.

De L a Soul 'Mythos skin in cream (Classic) - 1200L

Recently there was a tribute to Yves Saint Laurent fashion show with designers featuring new sets celebrating this House's work. Seldom Blue presented this gorgeous dress with rich colors and more skirt options than a girl could know what to do with. Optional shoulder ruffles, hair pieces and beautiful textures over all I couldn't help but fall for these dresses.

Finally, if you didn't hear, Love Soul has a special Halloween wagon event going on with special deals available for a limited time. Most if not all of the stores have something out in the plaza adjacent to Love Soul's main shop. I couldn't help myself when I saw NALA's ribbon eyepatch. It is ridiculously fantastic, and only 66L for a limited time. It's pretty Visual Kei, which is something I've been kind of over for a long time, but I still adore the dramatic nature of it, and recommend you picking it up while you have the chance.

I really want to thank Ivey for letting me take part in it this year, it was a fantastic experience. I hope you guys had as much fun coming to the event as I had being in it, I can't wait to see what Ivey pulls out of her hat next year!

First came the Lamb 'Glass Candy' hair. "When meshes are introduced I'll make you a data jack and we'll cyberpunk role play for a week." he said. Can you imagine? Ugh, it's like the most beautiful thing, and all I can really think about since it was said. Shaved heads, data jacks, and now this new skin from Tres Blah exclusively at the newest Designers United event with it's glossy black eye makeup. It's so Barbarella I can hardly stand it. I nearly bought it the night DU opened but held off until this morning when I couldn't take it anymore. This new round of DU is only running until the 26th, so make your decisions quickly, or you're gonna miss out and cry profusely because you didn't buy this skin.

Tres Blah isn't the only store with a new release to make you makeup mavens squirm with glee. Cupcakes dropped their new London line of skins yesterday, and you can not ignore the 'Lime' makeup. I'm in love with the eyebrows as well for whatever reason, they're the perfect shade of black, where as other skins don't quite get it right. Not cheap, but these aren't crap skins either and are worth the investment. Dominate, intimidate, and be fabulous my lovelies.

Literally backstage at the fitting for the Sn@tch fashion show scheduled to take place on Wednesday the 22nd at 7:30 pm, and there is a lot of gorgeous abound, beautiful designs from Nomine, Forsaken, and as to be expected Sn@tch. I threw on a recent release, and a couple of sets that are personal favorites of mine, as well as some new hair that totally deserves attention, like the AMAZING Auguste hair from Nushru. You've seen this on the blog for weeks now, since I hardly take it off. It's edgy, current and totally gorgeous, I love the asymmetrical bangs, it's like Quiver made the hair especially for me. They are so diametrically opposed, but look at how awesome they look together. She is a girl who will stomp on your face, and then touch up her makeup before she sets off to her next conquest. Finishing off the look is the Crush hair from Red Queen, which just so happens to be 50% off right now, which means the hair is actually affordable for once. I highly suggest you take advantage of this sale, which ranges from 25-75% off. Meaning some hairs are as little at 75L, and considering how ridiculously priced Red Queen hair regularly is, you really need to take the chance while you've got it.

Starting off with The Black Canary's 'He Lurks in Darkness' inspired by spooky bad guy Mister Dark. Beautifully made, with some gorgeous subtle details. Morrigan expertly captured the characters style with this fantastic set. There is also a fabulous hand held skull for you to claim to complete the set.

I'm in love with the Briar Thorn necklace, it's so romantic, and goes beautifully with the Teller of Tales set they have out as well

I took a few minutes between projects to catch my breath and delve into my favorite of Shakespeare's works. Macbeth. Only in Sim form. In the realm of fearless, powerful women Lady Macbeth has to be the queen. I can't explain the hours I've poured over her monologues. She was a woman who knew what she wanted, and wasn't afraid of the consequences of going after it. Whether you think she was justified or not, it's something to be respected.

So Narita somehow conned me into writing this sucker up, when the last thing I really wanted to do is write up a blog post, but I've been in the middle of a gigantic lazy today. You have a lot of options with this set, you can buy it piece by piece in five different colors (175L for the top, 225L for the skirt), or you can buy the whole set that is completely color and texture change for 875L. This set is full prim clothing, so DO make sure to stop by Miel and get a demo of it before you buy it. Over exaggerated assets might have a bit of an issue here.

You know you can't complete the outfit without cowboy boots, and really, these new release Dandy cowboy boots will fulfill any need you'll ever have for cowboy boots. Shoppers looking to add a little compassion to their fashion are spoiled for choice at this year's Shoe Fair. Everyone is pitching in to raise money for this year's charity Soles4Souls. Loads of shops are donating portions of certain sales, or all sales, and others still have set aside full 100% profits from special items. I picked out just 3 of my favorites for this post, but seriously, just go get them all. It's for a great cause, plus you get pretties for your feet by being generous. Win-win!
The shoes in the top picture are part of the much-celebrated new releases from G Field. The photo doesn't do them justice. The quality of the texture is stunning! The depth of the shading and the subtlety of the sculpt really give the feel of silky ribbon. In my opinion, these shoes are among the best designs of the fair, and that green is irresistible! You also have the option of getting these in silver - equally gorgeous. Plus they are totally affordable, so it's pretty much mandatory, right? Right!

You get a pair of their famous 8-hole docs, in perfect basic black leather, plus an exclusive polish in old black (see inset photo) that makes them look worn in. In addition to all that, the base for the docs comes with 3 shoe shapes to choose from - Pristine (fully tied), Abused (half tied) and Loose (pictured above), all controlled by a blue drop down menu. To change the polish, just wear the little polish can to load the texture into the shoe script memory. Then it's ready for you anytime you want a change. I totally want to go back and get every other color now! :o
A lot of the clothes used in this post are from Armidi. And, yeah, I know you've already been there done that 5 times now about the Armidi sale, but on the off chance you've resisted or thought you were too cool, you're just being a doofus. The sale ends tomorrow! Go! Now! Stock up on some ridiculously well made basics. I've said it a million times, but it's the truth - they have hands-down the *BEST* denim on the grid. If you get nothing else, just fatpack all things denim. You won't regret it.

They have a stall at shoe fair, with a portion of all sales going to Soles4Souls, and these fun new shoes.

L&E 'Miss Dandy' ankle boots (silver) - 150L

If you're looking for something a tiny bit more versatile, I might suggest the Imogene ankle boots. These boots have a darling design, with color change buttons and soles to boot. Ech, bad, unintentional pun. The 'sea' tone is such a unique color, I was taken by it instantly. I can think of more than a few Silent Sparrow outfits they'd go lovely with.

Let me present to you one of my absolute ESSENTIALS. Something I can not, and WILL not live without. J's thigh high heels. With a grid overflowing with expensive heels with prim toes and color change options and crazy designs, J's thigh highs stand alone in their simplicity in design, and mastery in their craft. I received my first pair as a gift last year for my birthday, and my shoe life has never been the same. You've no doubt seem them countless times on the blog, since I wear them constantly. Why? Well all of the reasons listed above, and just the fact that they are beyond sexy, and still completely classy.

J's 'Thigh High' boots (Red) - 450L

You will find these gorgeous shoes at Shoe Fair with a portion of the price of everything in the store going to the soles4souls charity. Each pair comes with three lengths, 'short' which still goes over the knee, mid length and then high. I am particularly fond of the high option.

These shoes retail for 450L per pair, but they are worth every penny. I will totally recommend the fatpack tho, 1600L for 7 pairs, that's almost half off, and if you buy it at Shoe Fair, a nice chunk of that goes straight to the charity. I generally don't promote fatpacking, but these shoes are versatile, beautiful, and literally a must have. Don't lose this chance to give to a good cause, and get what will no doubt become your favorite shoes.

Barefoot in the Snow

On the half of the world I stand on, it's Winter right now =) but here it's never really that cold so I've never seen real snow (because, honestly, muddy snow at the side of the road doesn't count, does it? =P hehehe). So, since SL gives me snowy places whenever I can, all year round, I decided to run barefoot in the snow for my post today *happy dance*

The first thing I wanted to show you is this *points to picture above* So adorably cute!. It's a complete avatar by Djinn & Tonic. I had a close look at it and it's honestly very well done =)
In this post you'll see me putting the avatar to test *evil laughter* because most complete avatars look awesome as they come, but when you start mix and matching them with other stuff, they stop looking that wonderful. Well guess what? with this one it didn't happen!!. It endured all my tests and passed =P

Ok so, I'm really picky about skins, so the first thing I did was change the shape to see how well the skin adjusted to it. If you have shopped for skins in SL for a while, I'm sure you know not all of them are flattering for every shape, while on certain shapes they look absolutely amazing. My usual shape has big eyes, puffy cheeks, small round lips and a pointy chin... so yeah, half the times when I try on skins I end up looking like a weirdly mutated mantis. So This is how I looked when I tried on the skin with my own shape:

This would be the moment to scream *OMG CUTE* =P
The skin adjusts to different shapes very well as well, and if you can see on the picture too, the eyes that come with it are lovely also. The hair is also a part of the complete avatar and it's really nicely done. The roses are sculpted and they come separately, so you can recolor them to match them to your clothes.
The necklace worn in the picture is the Kakkoi necklace by Cobrahive, which is also very well done, with very realistic textures.

Here you can see my full body, I'm wearing a RunoRuno outfit called "UNDress Cocktail Black", I'm wearing most of it, but not the full outfit, so there's more to it (leggins, collar, etc). It's almost entirely sculpted and very well executed... now the main thing that comes to mind when I think of RunoRuno is "value for money", because most of the items cost around 50L, and you can still see the hard work in them.
The awesome green pants are the Lacey pants by Trap. They are hand drawn/painted just like Selos' skins, and definitely a must have for missmatching lovers. The amount of details into them is amazing. If you zoom in close enough you can see every stitching on the cloth heheheh. I love them!

Hello Everyone!
This is the first of what I hope will be a series of awesome posts as guest blogger for one of my favorite blogs!

I'm a fan of good clothing and skins and hair... gosh I love it all. SO! I will be making a series of humble reviews, showing you what I like and hoping that not only you will like it too but also that it will help you find what you were looking for =)

This is the outfit I put toghether for my first post:

it's a mix of two outfits that I love. The dress is a Soleil dress called "La Fleur Triste". It's very original. I specially love the feathery ends of the skirt. It moves very softly while you walk.
Underneath that dress, I'm wearing the Erstaz catsuit by Gauze.

The texturing on that catsuit is the FINEST I have seen... EVER!. The same goes for the matching bracers, also part of the same outfit, by the same creator.

Now these boots are called Kboots are I am honestly not sure if the creator even has an inworld shop... but they are some of the best boots I have seen out there. Click here to check them out on xstreet.

now this is a big closeup to you get to see the hair, skin and accessories in detail. The hair is by Magika, do you see the little chain details? lovely! I love all of her hair. Now the glasses, piercings and collar are by Cobrahive, they have some of the best accessories I have, and her mainstore is always a delightful place to hang out at.
The Skin is by Trap... I just love those skins, they are entirely hand drawn/painted, truly hand crafted work u.u seriously, they make me drool. See how soft it looks? Almost anime-ish.

Hello my lovelies, are we having a pleasant evening? I am now that I've finally managed to get some work done. Today was such a lazy sort of day. Ghanima of +++Blue Blood+++ managed to shame me as well, pulling out another astounding release, and all the while being totally and completely sick. This release is so completely fantastic, flirting with genres from lolita, to cyberpunk, to final fantasy style armor. You'd be totally ready to say this release is inspired pretty greatly by the Heartless in Kingdom Hearts right? You'd be wrong, Ghani doesn't even know the game! Regardless. Fantastic work, take a nice long look at the spine, I love it. Don't forget to check out the shoes that come with this set as well. Yeah, matching shoes. Go get it.

If you're looking for a more romantic style of shoe to go with this release, or just in general,*G Field* has you covered. When these shoes came out in April I lusted, I lusted like I'd really not lusted over shoes in a long time. Impeccable sculpts, plush, soft textures, and best of all color change eyelets, shoe laces and soles. Also, because it's *G Field*, you KNOW these shoes are going to be reasonably priced. That's a really nice treat at Shoe Fair when you are being assaulted left and right by piles of shoes priced at 750L and up. Definitely take a nice long look at these shoes, as well as the charity pieces that Narita will probably be blogging in the next few days.

They are full price at Shoe Fair, but if you are in Kalnins group you can head on over to their store in Copley Square, and get the shoes for half price. Regardless of how much you pay, they are worth every penny. You'll be seeing loads of shoes highlighted here during the fair. Wren got you started yesterday with those drool-worthy stunners. In this post I've got an oldie but goodie from R2 - the Mahealani peeptoe pumps, that are so sexy it's hard not to fatpack them (psst! you should fatpack them ;) ). The shoes in the second picture are my personal top pick for best platform pump - the Baby T's from Pixel Mode. They are flawless! Today Shoe Fair 2010 opened with much fanfare. You're going to see a lot from places like G*Field, Miel, and a whole host of other amazing stores, and by all means it is well deserved. You'll even see those stores on this blog. Their releases are beautiful and well made, and garner every ounce of attention they get. That said, they really aren't the most exciting things you'll see at the fair. Why? Because that title belongs only to Magnifico and their newest release 'Woo-den'. Behold.

I was fortunate enough to find myself in their stall as they were placing this amazing set of shoes out. My jaw could do nothing but drop. Unique, challenging, and bucking the norm, these shoes make you stop and appreciate the staggering ability of the creative mind. Seeing unique pieces like this are the best part of shoe fair in my mind. Creators who push the boundaries and challenge you to accept their vision, and really, how can you not?

I love discoveries like this, it's so exciting to get to present releases like these shoes to you. Finding something that strikes you with its presence, demands your attention, is a reminder of why I put the effort I do in to this work, and why I love it so much. Shoe Fair started today, and runs through the 21st, with four sims full of amazing finds, these gorgeous shoes from Magnifico are just one of them.

Bunking around the grid today I found myself on the Final Period sim, and they have a little event area with lots of fun umbrellas and dresses. I couldn't help myself with one of the umbrella gachas. I scored too. Rounding out the post is Kalnin's newest release. I wasn't entirely mad for the 'Wonder' heels, but these, called 'Dante' omg. I love. As we near the first complete month of Summer, swim suits are in full effect and Seldom Blue will be releasing probably one of the best swim suit designs I've seen this season at noon today. If you were at the ICON/Too Sexy fashion show the other day, you got a sneak peak, but today we finally have a full release. The suits come with two complementary sarongs, and optional frills, and the colors are just lush.

I died when I saw this dress from Zaara at the clothing fair a few months ago. I bought it without even thinking about it, and loved every bit of it. Today I am breaking a cardinal rule of my blog: NO UNDERBOOB.

Yeah. I have a lot of hate for the underboob, a lot. Like... so much. It's trashy. Gross, whorish, lots of things. But every now and then, it can work. It's pretty rare, and even now, it's questionable. All I can say about it is that this outfit is amazing, so I'm making an exception. A very, very RARE exception.

So when I first came across ROOTS, it was in the details of a Red Queen post. It was pretty obvious it was a side project of Ruth Quan, and now that it's straight up moved onto the same sim as Red Queen, there is eno question about it. The clothing is... wll. A lot of things. It's well made, unique, and very ...risque. To say the least. Check out my hot ass... and underboob. *wince*

Right now, you can get this complete set, with lots of layer options to make this even slinkier than it is already is. The textures are gorgeous, the pieces well made, there is nothing not to like about it, unless you like being more covered up. You'll find this set for free in the ROOTS in-world group. If you haven't checked out the shop, you should. Prices are a bit high, but there are some interesting pieces to integrate into your wardrobe, even if you aren't as risque as others might be.

I'm still not sure how it happened, but I seem to have lost my prince. I turn my back for one minute, and BAM gone. I'm going to have to put a leash on him when he's found. This afternoon The Moonsong Caves opened, featuring shops like Silent Sparrow, Schadenfreude, Gauze and more. The opening was punctuated with a hunt, featuring gifts from many of these talented creators, and isn't hard at all. Seriously, the hunt item is a lava rock, which doesn't sound simple... but they're steaming so they are super blatant and easy to find.
