Lots of Love for Locks of Love

OMG, so I was talking to designer Morgan Kincess of Digital Eyes today about Relay for Life, cause she's the team leader of United Forces Against Cancer. And then she drops 3 Fatpacks of hair on me! :O Turns out this sweetie is in the Hair Fair! Woohoo! And, yes, I'm totally watching the clock.... only 2 1/2 hours left!

You wouldn't know it, but this is Morgan's first time making hair. I know, I'm shocked, too! And, for a first-timer, this hair is pretty freaking hot, I gotta say... I mean, just check out my buns! I'm so loving these. Adorable, sleek & badass all at the same time.

I've paired the Digital Eyes hair with clothing from the lazy sale at SYSY's. She's got a bunch of great casual looks marked down to just $99L. I spent an hour just trying to decide which colors to get.

Hair - Digital Eyes * Anna double buns * Black
Outfit - SYSY's Sy Style v.2 - darkgrey - $99L

This next hair style is the design for Locks of Love. Every designer in this year's Hair Fair is donating 50% of the proceeds from one style to the incredible charity Locks of Love. And this one from Digital Eyes is really fabulous! Makes me feels like a fierce lioness when I wear it. I want to kick cancer's ass all by myself - ROWR!

Hair - Digital Eyes * Dina Ponytail * Black
Bikini - SYSY's Strap bikini - red - $69L

This last style is probably my favorite overall. So slick & sexy. I've paired it with this bikini I found on SYSY's Xstreet account. This one only cost $35L and there are loads more in other colors & styles for dirt cheap!

Hair - Digital Eyes * Fayandria Ponytail * Black
Bikini - SYSY's beachwear-trianglebikini-violet - $35L

I caught you scoping out my jewelry in that last pic. Can't blame you. It's the new set I made for Relay for Life & it's fabulous, if I do say so myself XD

The RFL campaign ends in just about a month, so please kittens, it's time to dig deep and give every last Linden you can to help fight cancer! Nearly every designer in SL has at least one donation kiosk in their store. The United Forces Against Cancer team has some of the best designers in all of SL offering up some of their best work for the cause. So, you'll get something amazing and gorgeous for the money you donate.

This hand-beaded jewelry set I've made is totally packed with goodies, so you'll be getting a huge bang for your Linden buck! You get a Necklace, Earrings, Anklets, Bracelets & a Belly Chain. All for just $200L! It's a freaking steal & you know it. So, come on down to my little shop, give generously & come away dripping in gold. You'll feel awesome just knowing you did a good thing.

hay hay hay

Lots of goodies, and a few more previews for Hair Fair, in T-Minus seven hours and counting! Hot on the tail of Mochi pulling her gift skin a couple of creators have come out in protest, it does seem kind of shiesty to try and claim the idea of putting hearts on cheeks, I mean, are you going to sue every clown, club kid, and dolly fan who puts hearts on their cheeks? Really, its not an idea you can just claim.

So in response, you can find two 'heart cheeked' skins at Hotel Munster, one from I love 13, and another from Tacky Stars. The Tacky Stars skin is free for everyone and sitting in the doorway to the shop, while with the I love 13 skin, you must be a House of Munster group member, which has a 50L fee, but there are a lot of really nice gifts you get with that 50L fee.

The hair I'm wearing is another offering from +DV8+. Its called 'Fallen' and probably one of the my favorite among mohawks I've seen on the grid. Its going to be available at hair fair, and the cool thing about it, is that you can turn sideburns on and off, I have them off in these shots. Its just so fucking stylish, its like Robert Smith, if he were more punk, or just randomly shaved half of his head.

The jeans I'm wearing are pretty nice too, there are so many pairs of jeans on the grid, and how many do you really need right? The new lines at WoE are some of the nicest jeans I've come across, The bpyfriend jeans are natually, a little more baggy than the Kloe jeans, but both fit beautifully, and are definately worth checking out.

+Lika Ruby+ has a new group gift, this darling dress, with two skirt options, long and short, and available when you join the group. There is also another version of the top in the group's notices. If you've never been by before, this shop has lots of really adorable clothes which are totally inexpensive.

One of my faaaavorite jewelry shops (especially now that Violet has retired) Perturb/ATION has a new gift out in her shop, but only for a limited time, that lovely choker around my neck is one that is sitting on the table you see when you walk into the shop, and its totally and completely free. Annnyway, back to fiending for Hair Fair!

HF pt. 2!

Hair hair hair and moar hair! This isn't even all of it guys. A lot of booths aren't even close to being set up, so imagine all of this PLUS what hasn't even been put out for the people who get sneak peaks! Can you say pampered?!

Top Row;
Fadeless
Bloody Royal (eyes too)
Goldie Locks
Raspberry Aristocrat

Bottom Row;
Bryce
Tekeli-li (hair pins and fish too!)

Phew! Next up you get to see releases (the things that make you go broke with glee. Yes, those.) I may or may not wait until tomorrow, and do a shoot with the other girls, as I'm sure all together we will buy an assortment to show you, so keep posted!

Hair Fair Part 1

Surely you're all aware, and eagerly anticipating the opening of this years ever popular Hair Fair. If not, well, something is wrong with you! I have had the pleasure of being on the access list from the get go, as my dear friend Quiver hired me to do her building work. I have seen the sims go from empty brown building, to colorful, yummy edible builds that leave you begging those you live with for cupcakes and candy! That's right, this years theme is Candy Land! No, not the game.

Today, the sim was opened up to bloggers, and while I'm not one of the few selected, I still have the inside scoop, so these posts may be one of the dozen you'll see on a plethora of blogs. Who said those invited were the only ones allowed to blog it? ;)

There are four sims to explore. Countless number of stores with amazing new releases for the fair, as well as an assortment of gifts to get from some of the shops. This first post will be some of those gifts. My next post, I'll finish posting gifts, after that you get to see the releases! Bear with me!

Trevor Brown at The Hotel Dare

So posting once a day might be unlikely until they fix the stupid game and I can TP, rez things, load contents and walk. I call it a game when it annoys me. :3 It looks like another day with ye olde Sims2 at this rate.

Anyway, thank you to Nebula Quandry of informing me of the new exhibit at The Hotel Dare. It's based on the work of provocative artist, Trevor Brown and his work is pretty macabre. I'd advise anyone who prefers not to see work based on sexual imagery, mutilation, etc. to avoid the exihbit area and artist website but not necessarily The Hotel Dare itself.
For the exhibit there's a free avatar available based on one of Mr. Brown's pieces.
The outfit is by Katat0nik, the shape and skin are by Milk Motion and the dollarbie pose is by Sunflower Poses. There is also a matching pig-tail hair available at Schadenfreude, although it isn't free.

I now live in the doctor's surgery. It's impossible to TP and stay out. I'm attempting to make friends with the deer outside. He has stopped running away from me and has proceeded to head-butt me.
Having said that I did manage to escape and take pictures in my Patchwork skybox this morning in the hope of avoiding some lag and women with bars ten metres in front of their face for 'facelights'.

Outfit / 2nd Avatar - Hotel Dare Trevor Brown Exhibit
If you didn't read the post (which is fine but this is important) I advise anyone who prefers not to see mutilation and sexual themes in artwork to not visit this exact location. This dress is taken from Trevor's artwork and may associate you with it so be aware if you wear it anyway.

Down the Rabbit Hole

I swear that's where I must have fallen these last few weeks... All hell broke loose when I was working on this post & some of these pics have been hiding on Blogger all this time. Plus, I missed out on Wrenja's blogger challenge to show off amazing art sims in SL. And that totally kills me, cause those kinds of sims are the reason I came to SL in the first place. :/ But - cross your fingers - the rollercoaster ride that is business life in SL is finally, hopefully calming down and I can get back to blogging a bit. Okay - on to fashion! I've got a lot of catching up to do...
----------------------------

I've told you before how crazy generous and inventive designer Quiver Quintessa is. Well, this month Mrs. Quintessa has signed up for nearly every grid wide hunt in all of SL! The new Nushru mainstore is just crawling with prizes! Plus, she's even got half a dozen prizes in the Lemania June Bug Hunt! She's got so many fabulous freebies out there, I can't possibly show them all! Seriously, I don't know how the girl does it.

Let's start off with a pile of wonderfully textured accessories. This set of pics was taken at AM Radio's The Red & the Wild. Everything AM Radio does is a must-see. So, go! See!

Scarf - (Nushru) Bohemian Harvest Scarf - $1L (June Bug #1)
Belt - (Nushru) Bohemian Harvest Waist Sash - $1L (June Bug #2)
Shoes - (Nushru) Bohemian Harvest Shoes - $1L (June Bug #3)

Belt - (Nushru) Elven Insight Belt - $1L (June Bug #4)
Purse - (Nushru) Elven Insight Handbag - $1L (June Bug #5)
Shoes - (Nushru) Elven Insight Shoes - $1L (June Bug #6)

Scarf - (Nushru) Forest Perspectives Stole - FREE (LWTCB Hunt #24)
Shoes - (Nushru) Forest Perspectives Shoes - FREE (LWTCB Hunt #24)

Next, it's time for a bit of fantasy. And what better place than Chakryn Forest to immerse yourself in some of SL's dreamiest artwork? This gorgeous Snow White inspired dress from the Bedtime Treasures Hunt left me searching for my dwarfs. The back of the corset top has beautiful details & it all comes with matching shoes!

Dress - (Nushru) Couture Snow White - FREE (Bedtime Treasures Hunt #3)

Need another fabulous ensemble? Check out the outfit Quiver made for Vendor Support Month. You get a shimmering party dress, with matching shoes & choker, for only $10L!

Dress - (Nushru) VSM Crystal Nymph in Lavender - $10L

Now, for the most insanely inventive outfit I've ever seen in any hunt ever! Since it's for the Through the Looking Glass Hunt, I headed down to the Wonderland sim for the perfect backdrop to Nushru's Cheshire Dress. You get, not just a cute little party dress....

Not just a ballgown....

But both the party dress & the ballgown with a Cheshire trick up its sleeve. Put on your dress and the specially scripted attachment and every 3 minutes, your dress giggles like a crafty cat and disappears, revealing your cute matching pants!

And it wouldn't be a Nushru giftie, if it didn't also come with cute matching shoes! Three cute outfits, a pair of stillettos, and one wicked little trick - all in one jam-packed little Looking Glass Prize- totally FREE!

Mr. Caterpillar & I have to spend a little time thinking about how Quiver came up with that one... Maybe by the time we get to the bottom of that fatty I'll figure out how she dreamed up the Fruity Head of Joy.

Hat - (Nushru) Fruity Head of Joy - FREE (GL OMG #130)

Talk about an awesomely crazy gift... (And what better setting for it than Nishi Beach?) This is brilliant! Not just a cute hat made of yummy fruit, no! It's also a game you can play with your friends!

Everyone puts on the hat and selects a different playing mode. You can pile on top of each other in Karate Kid poses, toss your friends around like ping pong balls, or create a tower & put everyone on your favorite dance HUD to see what happens! XD I was lucky enough to be one of the few to help Quiver & her husband Zaldaan test this out. We've got a record now of 9 avatars piled high, each dancing various forms of Irish jig. See how many you can stack & post your pics to the Nushru Flickr Pool. It's truly a scream and it's left me wondering what this mad genius will come up with next! :D

TANZ ZWO DREI VIER

I give Faderhead a really hard time. A really hard time. But at the end of the day, I still listen to him, and TZDV is probably one of his songs that is most fun to dance to. (Right behind electrosluts). Well, my darling Vasha at +DV8+ has immortalized TZDV into hair, and quite effectively I might add. The moment I put it on I was in love.

+DV8+ TZDV - Available at Hair Fair

Yeah, that hat? Part of the hair, probably the only hat hair I've ever liked... ever. Doesn't hurt that its pigtails. If you haven't noticed, pigtails are kind of my hairstyle of choice. When I was 15, I declared myself 'the pigtail princess' and really... not much has changed >.> At least I can still rock them without looking desperate. Doesn't hurt that most people still think I'm like... 16 -.- But I digress.

+DV8+ TZDV - Available at Hair Fair

You're going to find this hair starting on the 20th in the +DV8+ stall at Hair Fair 2009, and nowhere before that. Unless you manage to pry it off of my cold, dead, corpse. I dare you, seriously.
