The hair used in these pictures is my new favorite hair from Truth. It comes with 2 different bang styles, in 7 different colors: a total of 14 hairs. Bargain! :O The shoes are from the exquisitely perfect Maitreya Gold line. At full price, I cant rationalize the expense. But for 1/2 price, I went a little nuts with the clicky finger and I'm so glad I did! Screaming Bargain! Go buy loads from both shops before the sales go poof and you kick yourself over all that you didn't get!

Ok, first up, I finally got a chance to swing down to the Albero Winter Sweethearts Festival, where I picked up the blue top in the first pic above from The Sea Hole and the black top in the first pic below from Vena Cava. Both of them are adorable and totally affordable. While you're there, slap the Subscribe-o-Matic for Vena Cava - there's a free pose auto gift. Heaps more down at Albero - I need to go back as soon as I have some more lindens XD

I also got a chance to swing through part of the Shoes & Accessories Hunt this weekend. So much great stuff! :O You have no idea how hard I'm kicking myself for forgetting to return my application XD Oh well! There's some truly fabulous shops involved and the gifts are really generous. In the top pic, I got the Sunglasses from Kumaki, the bag from Indyra and the boots from R2. And in the bottom pic, I got the shoes from Nardcotix, sunglasses from Hoorenbeek and another pair of shoes from Kalnins that I didnt even realize are color/texture change, till I'd already uploaded these pics. I should also note that a huge portion of the gifts in this hunt are unisex and most stores are offering gifts for both guys & girls. Drag your friends along - it's a good one!

Oh, and speaking of things you should not be missing out on, the Aoharu sale... Do you really need to be told why you need to go? They released 2 new fatpacks of poses that a pose junkie like myself cannot resist. Like everything else they do, the poses are classic, clean and just what you need.

Last but most certainly not least, I cannot tell you how floored I am by what's happening over at the Red Cross Skybox on Scribble. In just 5 days time, the skybox has doubled in size, as more and more designer donations crowd up and down the walls. There's new stuff being added daily! Check back regularly, cause you would not believe the diversity and quality of the items on offer. Every penny of which is going straight to the Red Cross. And, last I heard, the grand total raised so far is just about $2 million Linden dollars! That's roughly $8000 US. Could you just cry? Don't you just want to see that total rise?

If you're not in the Truth Subscribe-o-Matic group, you've missed a bunch of Group Gifts lately. Today we got this adorable little red strapless party dress. Too cute for words. I know I'm in the minority when I say this, but I've always been a bigger fan of Truth clothes than their hair. I know, I'm a blasphemer and I should be tarred and feathered. But seriously, how cute is this dress?!? More clothes please! XD

The leggings are from Source and it's part of today's gift from Le.Look. If you've been living under a rock, everybody and their sissypoo has been flooding the Le.Look sim daily to grab gifts from some of SL's biggest designers. It's free and you really truly need these.

One last note - I bet you're wondering why I took this picture at such a cute little candyland kinda setting. Well, this is part of HappyMood's entry into this year's Winterfest. There are few stores more appropriate for a shopping spree than Leezu. I already have this skirt in another color, but I love it so much and it's so versatile, with its different skirt & fringe options, that I had to grab another. The strapless sequined bra from &Bean is the closest thing I found to a bargain. The box says it's $80L, but it was only $40L when I bought it. It's ridiculously adorable and totally vital to your wardrobe. Go get every color!

One of the insanely generous gifts I received this year was a gift card to Beauty Avatar Couture, from none other than our fabulous blog hostess Wrenja! What a treat! I spent hours pouring over every garment in the store before walking out with the first thing that grabbed me - this hot little black sequined mini-dress. I've got a weakness for anything that makes me look like a discoball.... The shoes were a gift to myself from J's Shoes. They are my first official foray into the realm of prim toes. I've been a very vocal opponant to the severed foot trend in SL fashion cause, for the most part, they tend to look like a great big fail to me, no matter how high the price tag, or how fancy the shop. But these toes are rather subtle & the menu was easy enough to manage. Plus, the shoes offer not just toe nail polish options, but shoe strap options, as well! It's like getting 3 great pairs of shoes for the price of one. And compared to most other prim toe shoes, these are a major steal.

I've had my eye on this top from &Bean for months now. Thanks to some more staggering generosity I was finally able to click the buy option as I drooled. It's freaking adorable and the prim frills are optional, so you can wear the top as a stand-alone tank. The jeans are a old favorite from Armidi. I've searched high and low all over SL and I have yet to find better jeans than the ones at Armidi. Each pair of jeans comes with classic, skinny and capri options, and both the quality and the price for the set make this the best damn deal for denim on the grid. And there is enough of a variety available to keep most people set for SLife. The Maitreya shoes are one of those must-own pairs that go with nearly everything. They look fabulous with both pants and skirts, and the patent ones come with both steel & black tips for the heels.

Hurray for padding the tired old wardrobe with some great quality items! Hurray for the weathered hag behind the avatar getting another year older! And double hurray for dear friends, who not only spoiled me completely rotten, but made this one fabulous birthday! Thank you so much! I love you guys! :D

First up, the dress I'm wearing is from Kenzie & Co. and it's just one of the TONS of goodies in the $1L box set out at the freebie bridge at Starlust a'la Mode. Seriously, this is one jam packed little box of fun. This dress comes with 2 skirt options - I'm showing you the flexi version. The Bangle Bracelets are from YourSkin & YourShape and they are FREE in the YS&YS shop, just off the bridge. There are piles of freebies along the bridge and, if you haven't been since opening day, you should give this spot another visit, cause there are a bunch more goodies that weren't out before.

The necklace is from Swallowtail and you can get it FREE at the Fabulous Fashions SL6B exhibit. There are a few freebies here from other designers, so grab them all when you stop by. Keep in mind that SL6B is only for 1 more week, so don't delay checking it out!

The hair is a Hair Fair *Exclusive* from Magika. You will only find it at the Fair and it's only $200L. Plus, 50% of the proceeds from not just this hair, but all Magika hairs go to raise money for Locks of Love. It's so adorable with those cute flowers pinned in the back and there are lots of color packs to choose from. By the way, now is a good time to hit the fair if you haven't yet. The crowds have dwindled & the lag is minimal compared to opening weekend.

The skin is part of the Cupcakes Gift Bag #1 set I showed you yesterday. This is the freckles version of the Celebrity Skin in Halo. So subtle and pretty. Love it.

Last, but certainly not least, I gotta mention the shoes - Maitreya. Yes, I know, Maitreya is pricey for girls on a budget, but there are some affordable styles in this drool-worthy high-end shop, and this is one of them. Only $300L for perfect perfect perfect shoes. You can even find styles here for just $250L, so never write this shop off when you're out hunting for shoes. I find myself wearing my Maitreya shoes constantly cause they are so well made & go with so many different outfits. You really can get a better bang for your buck when you invest in some classic pieces.
