Oceane's Skins and Seldom Blue

I got a notice about some Seldom Blue offers at Oceane's Skins, a shop I had never heard of.

I scurried over to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised I really liked the looks of the skins. Seldom Blue has some really good buys out there too including this very sexy quite revealing spider web lingerie I'm showing in this post for you. The skin pictured is a Halloween special from Oceane which you can purchase for 100L. I am very happy with it I love the porcelain skin, blood red lips, the cleavage is awesome.. I like! I also left Oceane's with pockets full of demos and I now have a wish list for the next shopping spree I'm able to go on. The prices are pretty reasonable for 900L each and there is cleavage options which I like.

I am definitely looking forward to seeing more!

Hair, Hair, Glorious Hair

Boo! Sorry. So, yeah. I've been away and will be kind of in and out for the next few weeks. My step father died, and it really isn't such a bad thing as the condition he was in, when the decision was made, was not a good one. So I'm at peace with it and everything is alright on that front. But, I'm still super busy with real life right now, I am less than a week away from moving like 1200 miles away from home. I'm totally freaked out, but its a good thing. Hopefully this will be an end to a year of upheaval for me, and I can start having some really great things coming my way. Thank you so much to everyone who has been supportive and helpful to me through this journey I've had the past 10 months now ^^; I appreciate your caring an generosity more than I can really express.

As for really great things coming *your* way, there is *hair* ladies. Free and cheap and wonderful hair all over the grid right now. I wish I could be more present to mess myself over all of the great Halloween stuff, but I have a whole house to gut, and that's no fun. Ready to party yet? Like its counterpart, the Tokyo Stage, the Berlin Stage spans two sim boarders and enables two separate parties to run at the same time, and the parties never stop. And that's to say nothing of how unbelievably gorgeously crafted the stages are this year. Seriously - WOW!

As you run around inside this build you activate a jumble of sounds and release pods into the air. The pods then rain down and activate even more sounds, creating a chorus of music and sound clips that's hard to resist and even harder to stop.



Buddha - 2nd Magic

Sitting way down at the lonely far end of the playa sits this Buddha head that is so serene and profound, it begs you to take a picture of it in all of your favorite Windlight settings.

The art at this year's Burning Life is heavy on jaw droppers. This build is no exception.

Drowning in Decommodification

I've been wanting to show you guys some of the Freebies you can find down at Burning Life. But I gotta tell you, there's TOO MUCH good stuff!

Literally my inventory has jumped by more than 1,000 items since Burning Life started. O.o I'm only half way through the sims and haven't even unpacked a fraction of what I've gotten so far. It's going to take me straight through to next year's festival to sort it all! I know this because I've still got a massive folder of unsorted items from last year's event XD




That said, what I can tell you is that Burning Life people are so generous it's insane! Everything at Burning Life is FREE. As you enter the Main Gate, there is a tent filled with gifts and Burning Life starter items, to get you into the spirit of the event. Then, nearly every one of the plots, on all 34 regions, is offering at least one gift. Some have piles of gifts. One has a hunt for 25 items within her build. Others are offering every single item on their plots! In addition to that, there is an entire camper down by the Art Department just bursting at the seams with sandbags filled with even more gifts! It is overwhelming to say the least!



Gift Tent

Don't feel like sorting for the rest of your SLife? How's about a ton of the most outlandish & imaginative personal art cars you'll ever see? The Burning Life DMV has stations all over the sim, plus a main depo, where you can rez out whichever one you like to ride around while you're visiting. And keep an eye out for the bike stands dotted all around; those, too, are all for the borrowing.

And, let me just say, this is one event where the items are nearly unanimously unisex. I now own more T-shirts, avatars, accessories, furnishings, decorations, sculptures, art pieces, toys & vehicles than I ever could have imagined. The boys have nothing to complain about here. It's a freaking bonanza for them right now! So, get your greedy grubby booties on down to Burning Life pronto and watch your inventory EXPLODE!

My girl Okrebecca summoned me to the lucky board at Jill. She finds the best boards and lucky for me they are often on H! So I got there and I was tickled pink to find this amazing outfit in the board I had not seen before. After my win I stuck around to check out the newness, its been a while since I been to Jill. Right next to the lucky board there is a sign with a free dress to celebrate Jill's First Anniversary and bunches more goodies to find if you look!

This last outfit I purchased for only 100L. I think the textures are excellent, it comes with three different skirt options. The jacket part is versatile I'll have fun mixing and matching it with other things. The hat is from Split Pea, called "Oliver Twisted".

I Finally Really Like The Colour Pink

When I was younger I made up my mind that I disliked pink a lot. But it happens to have really grown on me since playing SL.
And like Wren, I've taken a break from hunting and frantically trying to catch up with things and most importantly delete things to show you these beautiful skins. :3



They are the latest freebie from Cupcakes and they're available to everyone for Hallowe'en. There's more tones, I just picked my favourites to show. I think this is Lace, Goth and Sambuca. If you like them you should consider joining the group if you have space as they regularly give out free skins. There is also a green version of this make-up for sale as well as other Hallowe'en make-ups at a reduced price.

Taking a break from the constant stream of Halloween goodies, Seldom Blue is celebrating the opening of a new store at EOSTARA, by releasing a new series of bridal gown with a couple of pretty sweet, and not so bridal, offers. Flirty, fun and, well, naughty choices abound, and you're sure to find some goodies to fit into your budget.

Despite my strong affliction for black, I've never been one to hide my love for pink. When they showed the bridal gown at their fashion show a little while back, I remember this being my favorite. Every piece in this series, is dramatic in one way or another, from the lingerie, and the super tiny thong. To the dollarbie dress above and its ridiculously awesome poofy skirt. I, personally, don't understand the concept of SL marriages. But, I know it's big business on the grid, and you girls love you some weddings. So, I sucked it up, and got this sucker on, just for you. I'm not even sure I want to get married in real life, let alone second life, but putting on the dress left me a tittering, twirly mess anyway. The power of wedding dresses, is kind of frightening. Even though I highly doubt I'll ever get married in SL, I love this dress, if only for the corsetry. It. Is. So. Pretty. I'm a huge sucker for pink and white, but UGH SO CUTE. And really, I'm a pretty bride, aren't I? ;)

The most incredible event in Second Life is finally here! It comes but once a year and its stay is always far too short. The lag is off the charts and you can expect to crash a million times. But it's soooooooooo worth it! XD

There are 34 regions and hundreds of camps to explore, each a world unto itself. There are absolute marvels of sculpture, painting, sound and video for you to explore. Some of SL's best artists have created pieces especially for this event that you won't get to see or experience ever again! Check the What & Where Page to find some of your favorite creators.



Gulliver's Travels - Ub Yifu

And the festivities are non-stop, 24 hours a day! There's live music, dancing, DJs & pyrotechnics. No matter what time-zone you are in, there is fun just waiting for you to show up. Check the Events Calendar to keep up to the minute on what's going on.



Vessel's Dream - Bryn Oh

Be patient this opening weekend. Crowds are pouring in everywhere, so expect to lag & crash. But it's all part of the fun. Most of the creators are hanging around their builds & are more than happy to show you all the little gems they've snuck into their little masterpieces. I caught up with Bryn Oh at her build and she clued me in on some of her secrets. In addition to it being largely a cam build (you have to cam through the passageways to see it all), click on just about everything to load a special machinima to learn more of the story. The woman is a freaking genius. This work is stunning! Put it on your Do Not Miss List.



fushion - four Yip

Know what else you're going to plotz over? Freebies from four Yip! Squeee! I am so excited for the grand opening of this year's Burning Life festival! I didn't get to do my own plot this year (sadface!), but I am helping a friend with some finishing touches. So, that gave me early access to the sims. And, let me tell you, you are in for a major treat! There are some astoundingly gorgeous builds just waiting for you to ooo and ahh and explore. But since all of the builders are furiously rushing to the deadline, I'm not allowed to give you shots of full builds just yet. Till the sims open to the public this weekend, I can only show you teeny tiny peeks & give the event the hype it so rightly deserves :D

Meanwhile, back in fashionland, it's $50L Friday time! Did you spend as much as I did? It was kinda hard to say no to so many fabulous items. I had been eyeing those leggings in the top picture from So Many Styles for a while. How awesome they went so well with the latest wild hair-do Group Gift from Pididdle. If SL ate yours the way it did mine, rest assured you can still get it from the Subscriber service at the mainstore. The fabulous retro dress above is from none other than the queen of retro in SL - Artilleri. And that killer hair is from the diva of all things ridiculously fabulous, Clawtooth by Clawtooth. Is it wrong that I want to build my wardrobe around that hair, just so I can wear it all the time? (And, yes, the birds chirp when you click them! >.<) The pose is from Long Awkward Pose & it's from the Girls' Fatpack. There's one for guys, as well. I got them both just cause they're all too good to pass up.

Hey guys,

I know a fair number of you would say I've had more than my fair share of stress this year, but yesterday morning my step father collapsed in the ER. He had a brain anyurism, and I spent a lot of time with family yesterday in the waiting room while he was operated on. The coil was placed successfully, and we all left the Hospital last night feeling like all we needed to do was wait for him to wake up.

This morning we received a call informing us that he had another stroke, and blew out the pupil in one of his eyes. It's not looking very good for him, and while we're hoping for the best, we're trying to face the reality of him dying. I'm sure you'll understand that I probably won't be around much in this aspect for the next week or so while things pan out.

Just a reminder about that hunt that's been going on at the Sound of Silence sim. I think it's some celebration of some blog's birthday. ORITE, IT'S OUR BIRTHDAY HUNT. Zombiefest 2009 has begun, and there are a ridiculous amount of goodies to pick up, with the proceeds going to benefit the international red cross. Bit of a Mashup

I was inspired by the colors of Autumn when I got this fab gifty from G*Field. I picked up a couple more things on my virtual travels the last few days I mixed some of them in for you.

In the middle I'm showing the G*Field outfit *GF* Long Sweater Halloween Set includes the sweater, green leggings, sculpted sleeves, collar, and nice belt. I paired it with these amazing Decoy ankle boots Narita blogged. Also I stumbled on a shop called KiK where I picked up this hair in the middle free! They have some cheapie 10L hairs with sculpted witch hats and other dollarbies worth checking out. (I tinted the hat)

On the left I picked up the scarf at G*Field as well for 1L they have some great gifties look around they aren't hard to find! I'm showing off some more of my Decoy scores and if you haven't been yet what are you waiting for! Even the hair is on sale.

Last but not least on the right I took part of freebie dress I found again at G*Field its called *GF* Brown Tunic. I left off the prim part and thought it went perfect with this sweater from {Bingo} that I got at the Sunny Sim! You may have been by the freebie cafe Narita blogged out at the Sunny Sim but, I didn't see this the first time I went. The other new thing you will find there is the hair I'm wearing by OhMai! Isn't it cute! Definitely a designer to look out for.

Hey kids, I hope you like the new layout. I'm quite fond of it, if I do say so myself. I meant to get this up yesterday, but yesterday had a serious way of sidetracking me and made sure I got absolutely nothing done. Anyway, there is a LOT of new stuff at Violent Seduction, starting off with the newest, the Forgotten dress. As Ikaru describes it 'a very cute and innocent looking white dr- BLOOD SPLATTER EVERYWHERE LIKE YOU TOTALLY TOOK DOWN AN ENTIRE ZOMBIE HOARD BY YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU DID.' Awww yeah.

Next up we have the new Infernal Masquerade set, a divine EGL set, with one of the most fabulous bustles you're going to find on a dress. I sat there watching Iki build it, and I didn't believe her at first, but look at that thing, it is fantastic. It comes in five creepy colors, and I'm positive you'll look amazing in any of them.

Is It Too Early To Mention The H Word?

I'm not a big fan of Hallowe'en (just not so big on the commercialism) but I have some black and orange for you and some spooky skins. :3


The Dollhouse has reopened back on the LVS sim and this is the join gift from the Hippo subscriber. :3 Kind of wish the corset was on jacket layer but you can wear it in a number of layers including as an individual bustless corset, woo.


There is also a Midnight Mania just outside the store. I'm fairly certain it's the same dress as last year but it's still very pretty. This was the first MM prize I ever remember seeing and winning. x: It comes with it's own puppet AO. If it's actually a different dress you can throw your pumpkin entrails at me. x: I do wonder why the bloomers are white though.

And a mention to the skins. They are a gift from the &Bean subscriber and I recommend picking up some demos for the regular skins because they're pretty. <3 These skins were posted on D-List a few weeks ago but I completely over-looked that one of them was a men's skin because she wore them both on her regular shape. I figure other people may have done the same so here it is on my new man-shape, which I modded from LL's elf shape in the library. <.< It just required some jaw surgery and some serious mouth down-turn. Is 63 ever an attractive amount of up turn on lips?

I almost put in a RuPaul reference, then I thought better of it.

The Glamour Expo is back, and I'm finding it a little crazy. I still remember last year's vividly, and I just find it strange to be seeing signs that it really has been a year. It feels like the expo is bigger this time around, but it might just be that I have a better grasp on the format, and event life in SL in general. Regardless, there are a lot of really nice spots to check out, and a fair amount of freebies as well!

Once again, the expo is taking on a charity aspect, and it's nice to see that nearly all of the vendors are getting involved as they should. The charity this time around is Care International, this charity is devoted to ending poverty and takes special emphasis in helping women and children. you can learn more about the charity at their website, Care.org.

I did notice one store that didn't take part, and they also didn't have a charity piece out at the jewelry fair. Believe me, I'm keeping tabs, and judging you. I fail to understand why some of these creators can't sacrifice *HALF* the profit of one item, (for what, two weeks?) for a good cause. You do realize, it kind of makes you look bad right? Well, all I have to say is that karma has a way of biting you in the ass, so you might reconsider. Doing good deeds does wonders.

The expo runs through the 18th, and there will be all kinds of fashion shows and other events going on at the space through that time. Go shop, drool and get glammed up, and give a good charity some love. I have to say, Mimikri's charity offerings are quite tempting... but as are SO many others! I dunno which I'll choose! Have fun!

Also the skin is the new Tremere skin from B. Bodenhall, I love the smokey eyes on this skin, more so than the smokey eyes on a lot of the other skins I own, it looks so devious, of course... It is named after a vampire clan, so I suppose it's to be expected.

Sunny One So True

With the cold weather moving in, I've been missing the heady days of Spring. Thankfully, the brand new sim Sunny just opened up and brightened up an otherwise dreary Autumn day.

Last night Ghanima announced a fair at Kali Isle, with all sorts of special and Halloween themed products for sale. Ghani even went so far as to make special editions of eleven of her sets, in a rather dashing orange. I'm not even a fan of orange(ironic, right?), but these look fantastic.

Finally, through out the post, I've been wearing the new B. Bodenhall skins. I highlighted the Toreador skin the other day, and not long after that Mairead threw it up in her Domestic-V group for free! Well, this is the toreador skin along with the rest of the collection. The teeth are painted onto the teeth layer. I love how Mairead plays with teeth, I have a skin from her called 'Extreme' under her Domestic-V line, where the teeth are all busted up, it's fantastic, and makes the skin that much more awesome.

Just so we're all clear, B. Bodenhall is a new line Mair is collaborating on, Domestic-V isn't going anywhere, it's just a new line, with some fabulous new skins :D

They come with an embedded pose that holds the mask in front of your face, and each face on the mask blinks! XD Too cute!!

It's got everything from shoes to hair, and this jewelry set proves the designer is remarkably talented at damn well everything.

The top from This is a Fawn doubles as a mini dress, and this deep red color is pitch perfect. I swear these kids get better and better with every release. This set is a clear favorite for me. Enough drama, tension & 'fashion' to make a spazzed out Tyra proud.
